WebXR in the browser vs a native app
WebXR isn't the only way to watch VR. A native VR video player is the other route, and the two suit different jobs. The split is simple once you see it.
The browser, through WebXR, is built for live streams. It holds the whole website session — login, live connection, interactive controls — and renders the immersive view without ever handing the stream to another program.
